Importing your collection
Every collection site exports CSV, and no two of them name the columns the same way. The app reads a file through a source profile that knows one site’s spelling, or through Auto-detect, which knows all of them.
On Linux, the file picker needs the packages listed on Install and first run.
Import a CSV
Section titled “Import a CSV”- Open Cards and pick the collection to import into from the switcher at the top. Imports are turned off while ALL COLLECTIONS is selected.
- Tap Import CSV in the top bar.
- Choose a Source format. Leave it on Auto-detect if the site is not listed.
- Under Import into, choose Physical or Arena.
- Under If a card is already in the collection, choose Add to what I own or Replace with the file’s quantity. Adding twice doubles those cards. Replacing makes the file’s quantity the truth for the cards it lists, and leaves every other card alone.
- Tap CHOOSE FILE and pick the
.csvfile.
Source formats
Section titled “Source formats”Header matching ignores case, but the spelling has to match. This is what each profile looks for:
| Source format | Set | Collector number | Quantity | Card name |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Moxfield | Edition |
Collector Number |
Count, Tradelist Count |
Name, Card Name, Card, Simple Name |
| Archidekt | Edition Code |
Collector Number |
Quantity |
same as Moxfield |
| ManaBox | Set Code |
Collector Number |
Quantity |
same as Moxfield |
| Deckbox | Edition |
Card Number |
Count |
Name |
| TCGplayer | Set Code |
Card Number |
Quantity |
Name, Simple Name |
Auto-detect accepts every spelling in the table plus a few common variants such as Qty
and CN. Where a file has both a set name and a set code (TCGplayer writes Set and
Set Code), it reads the code.
Every profile also reads finish from Foil, Finish, or Printing, condition from
Condition or Card Condition, and language from Language or Lang. A file without those
columns imports as the default finish, condition, and language. A row with no readable
quantity imports as one copy.
Deckbox’s Edition column holds the set’s name (“Modern Horizons 3”), not its code, so
Deckbox rows are matched by card name rather than by exact printing.
The import preview
Section titled “The import preview”Nothing is written until you confirm. After you pick the file, IMPORT PREVIEW shows:
- COLUMN MAPPING: which column in your file each field was read from. A missing optional column shows not in file (defaulted). A missing required one shows not found.
- how many rows are readable, and how many will be skipped. A row is readable if it has a set and collector number, or a card name.
- up to the first five rows as the app read them: quantity, card, finish, condition, and language.
If the mapping looks wrong, tap CANCEL and try a different Source format. IMPORT stays disabled while a required column is missing or no rows are readable.
Matching and unmatched rows
Section titled “Matching and unmatched rows”Each row is looked up in the downloaded card catalog, by set and collector number first and by name second. Rows the catalog does not know are looked up on Scryfall the same way. A progress bar shows each stage, and CANCEL stops the run without adding anything.
When it finishes, IMPORT COMPLETE shows Local Matches:, API Matches:, and Failed:. Rows that matched nothing are not added. They are listed under COULD NOT FIND:, and COPY FAILURES copies that list so you can fix the rows.
UNDO IMPORT puts every card the import touched back to its quantity before the run.
Export
Section titled “Export”- Open Cards and tap Export Collection. The export covers the selected collection, or every collection when ALL COLLECTIONS is selected.
- Choose a format:
- CSV (Standard): one row per card, finish, condition, and language.
- Moxfield (Text) and Card Kingdom Buylist (Text): one line per card, with no finish or condition.
- TCGPlayer Buylist (CSV): per finish and condition, with both set name and set code.
On Windows and Linux you choose where to save the file. On Android it opens the share sheet. If you cancel the save dialog, or there is no share sheet, the contents are copied to the clipboard instead.
Moving a collection with CSV (Standard)
Section titled “Moving a collection with CSV (Standard)”CSV (Standard) re-imports into the app with Auto-detect, keeping quantities, finish,
condition, and language. Its columns are Name, Set Name, Set Code, Collector Number,
Quantity, Quantity Arena, Foil, Condition, Language, Status, and Partner.
Import reads Quantity into whichever side you pick under Import into. It does not read
Quantity Arena, Status, or Partner back.
To move everything, including decks and match history, use a backup instead. See Backup, restore, and deleting your data.
